Карлос Нава - мексиканский художник

Помните, я обещала рассказать о каких-то особых картинах в доме Армандо в Мехико?

Выяснилось, что мы оказались в семье мексиканского художника Карлоса Навы. Сначала мы любовались его картинами в доме Армандо, затем в доме сестры Армандо, Клары. А потом мы с удовольствием приняли приглашение в дом самого Карлоса. (Карлос – это отец мужа Клары и дедушка Армандо младшего – который и пригласил нас к себе.)

The house - Mexico City

The house where we stayed in Mexico City was really something new for us. First of all, it was made of stone. The walls, the stairs. All was very firm. But the most interesting was the interior. As I like to repeat, for me mexican people are very artistic. And I have some evidence. 

We stayed at the Armando's house during our Mexico trip. He is teaching financial science at the university. But at the same time he is very good on making his own house very cozy. He likes to make compositions with flowers, little stones, sand and some other components. (A lot of his handcrafts were sold.) The whole house was decorated with paintings, plates, compositions and baskets.

Дом, в котором мы остановились в Мехико для нас был действительно чем-то новеньким. В первую очередь потому, что он весь сделан из камня - начиная со стен и заканчивая лестницами. Все очень крепкое. Но самое интересное - это то, что внутри. Как я люблю повторять, мексиканцы - невероятно творческие люди. И у меня есть еще доказательства. 

Во время путешествия мы остановились в доме Армандо. Он преподает в университете в сфере финансов. Но в то же время он невероятно мастерски умеет сделать свой дом уютным. Он любит делать композиции из цветов, камней, песка и разных других штук. (Очень многие свои  работы он продал.) Весь дом украшен картинами, тарелочками, композициями и корзинками. 

Frida Kahlo museum (Mexico City)

 We had a lot of targets in Mexico City, and one of the most important - the house of Frida Kahlo. 

 It was hard to believe I'll stand in the stunning courtyard of that "azure" house in the place Coyoacan where Kahlo grew up, studied painting, and where she lived with her husband Rivera during her last days.

У нас было много мишеней в Мехико, и одна из главных – дом Фриды Кало. Едва я увидела из окна автомобиля синие стены в красном окаймлении, как какая-то невероятная радость охватила меня.

Было трудно поверить, что я буду стоять в потрясающем дворе того самого «лазурного» дома в местечке Койокан, где Кало росла, училась живописи, и где она прожила вместе с мужем Ривера свои последние дни.

Museums of Mexico City

Here in Mexico you can find any kind of museums: in buildings, in open spaces, museums under the water or underground. So it’s really lucky that people have the possibility to see all sides of the one of the richest cultures in the world. Of course if they want to. I was very glad to see that there are a lot of native people - grown-ups and children - in Mexican museums. So it's interesting not only for turists.

In my opinion it's better to start with the National Museum of Anthropology. This huge building (44000 square meters) is situated in Chapultepec Park in Mexico City. There are 23 rooms describing the life of different ethnic groups in different periods on the terrain of Mexico. You can follow through all the ways of changing, development and becoming of Mexico. If you want to explore all the areas you need more then one day, indeed. By the way, the building is surrounded with picturesque gardens, which contain part of an exhibition. (One ticket costs 57 pesos. You can use your photocamera in almost all of the rooms.)

Здесь в Мексике вы можете найти совершенно разнообразные музеи: в зданиях, на улице, под водой или под землей. Можно уверенно сказать, что нам действительно повезло, потому что у нас есть возможность увидеть с разных сторон одну из самых богатых культур мира.  Конечно, если есть желание. Было невероятно приятно видеть, что музеи здесь очень популярны среди мексиканцев - и взрослых, и детей. 

На мой взгляд, лучше всего начать с Национального Музея Антропологии. Огромное здание (44 тысячи квадратных метров) расположено в парке Чапультепек в Мехико. В двадцати трех залах описывается жизнь разных народностей территории Мексики в разные эпохи. Здесь есть возможность увидеть все пути изменения, развития и становления Мексики. Конечно, если вы захотите подробно увидеть каждый из залов, то вам понадобится более одного дня. Кстати, задние окружено красивыми садами, в которых находится большое количество экспонатов. (Один билет стоит 57 песо. И здесь можно фотографировать практически во всех залах.)

Mexico City (tourist)

     I could not resist and decided to write a small report about our trip to Mexico, specifically in Mexico City.

     I must say that before the trip we were a little worried, because in Russia and in the United States, many people told us not go there, that it’s dangerous there and it’s not a place for tourists. No way!

     There are three types of places In Mexico City: not for tourists, mainly for tourists, for tourists and locals. I must say that the latter type is probably the most common.

So, what’s the first thing you could know about Mexico, while still standing at the airport? Painting is incredibly popular here!

     Monumental art is a type of painting that has been developed by Mexican artists of the last century. Rivera, Orozco, Siqueiros, and other great artists have created a new art wave in the name of revolution, making painting a part of the city image, interior, and landscape. Realizing that this is the best way to convey the idea, they turned it into the art to people, made it the national treasure.
